To Our Valued Patients:

UPDATE AS OF 5/27/2020:
CLOSED UNTIL 6/8/20 - EMERGENCIES (PAIN, SWELLING, INFECTION) ONLY
THIS IS THE SAME LETTER PROVIDED PREVIOUSLY WITH SOME IMPORTANT UPDATES HIGHLIGHTED IN BOLD AND UNDERLINED:

How are you doing? We sincerely hope you are doing well and staying safe and healthy!

All of us here at your dental office miss each and every one of you and can’t wait to see you again. Like all of you, we are extremely anxious to start the process of regaining some “normalcy” back into our lives. It has been a very challenging and, honestly, a strange time that we have all been experiencing over the last 10+ weeks. Our first concern is that all of you, our patients, and our staff are healthy and are following all of the recommended COVID-19 social guidelines (distancing, washing hands, wearing masks, etc) to help reduce the long-term effect of this relentless virus. Speaking for myself, I strongly advise that these conditions are met with seriousness and driven intent since it is a very real “killer”. The lives of the most vulnerable among us and the everyday heroes in our communities (nurses, doctors, janitorial staff, grocers, delivery people, etc.) are dependent on the discipline we all show in our collective efforts to stop it. Being someone who is presently living with the best mother-in-law a guy could hope for (and who is part of the “vulnerable” population), I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your help in this regard. You or I can’t stop this Virus… but WE can!

Now, I wanted to take a moment to share with you the present status of our office and some other pertinent information as it relates to appointments and procedures.  In an effort to support national efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, our practice is taking the following steps to help assure your health and well-being and that of our community:

  • Per the “NY State on Pause” Executive Order initiated on March 22nd by Governor Andrew Cuomo, our office is closed for all but Emergent Dental Procedures until AT LEAST Monday, June 1st. However, due to lack of access to appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at this time, we will be extending our own personal closure until AT LEAST Monday, June 8th. Please understand we are doing everything in our power to obtain this PPE as swiftly as we can!
  • We are following all directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a way to limit patient and staff exposure to this virus.
  • Your health, and the health of our dedicated staff, matters to us, so going forward we will suspend all non-emergency care until AT LEAST Monday, June 8th.
  • Please note that I WILL BE AVAILABLE for any patients who have urgent dental needs. These needs certainly include any oral symptoms or presentations indicative of infection (pain, fever, redness, or swelling) or any other serious condition (broken tooth, inability to chew, etc.). PLEASE CALL OUR MAIN NUMBER (315-446-6620) AND FOLLOW THE PROMPTS FOR AN EMERGENCY. AT THAT TIME, YOU WILL BE PUT IN TOUCH WITH OUR PRACTICE MANAGER, AUDREY, WHO WILL WORK WITH ME TO ADDRESS AND MANAGE ALL OF YOUR DENTAL CONCERNS INCLUDING SCHEDULING AN EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT, IF NECESSARY.

If you have a recall Hygiene (cleaning) appointment that is presently scheduled between now and Monday, June 8th, Audrey or Judie will be contacting you to reschedule these appointments. If you are already scheduled to see us for an urgent issue, we will contact you the day before your appointment to discuss your health status, health screening protocols and confirm whether the appointment should be kept. As a pure matter of safety for you AND our office team members (and their families), If you are demonstrating any symptoms that are consistent with COVID-19 infection, you will be referred to an Emergency Care facility for appropriate health management. Of course, we always want you to start with us and not assume that we can’t see you. You are part of our family and, if at all possible, we want to be the ones to take care of you!

In summary, the safety and well-being of our patients continues to be our primary concern. We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up-to-date regarding our plans to reopen for business as usual.

I urge you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Again, we can be reached by phone at 315-446-6620 or by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If for some reason, you need to leave a voicemail, we promise to respond to you at the absolute earliest possible opportunity. Please note that all non-emergency voicemails will be responded to on a weekly basis… we will not forget you!

Lastly, I know I am speaking for all of my amazing Team Members when I wish you and all of your loved ones the most sincere best wishes for a Safe and Healthy passage through this pandemic… We will get past this Together!!

We can’t wait to see you all very soon!
